FAQs

Can I register on-site?
The best way to guarantee your child can participate is by registering in advance (it’s free!) at myathletics.com beginning April 10th. If space allows, we will offer a limited number of walk-up registrations the day of the event.

Where do I park?
Parking is available in the athletic lot at HSE High School, located off 126th Street at the outside door #10. Overflow parking will also be available in the student lot off Royalty Drive.

Where should my child start once we arrive?
Head to the check-in table outside the athletic entrance (Door #10). Kids will receive their Try-It Day “passport” and a map of all the stations. Stations will be located throughout the varsity football field and the varsity gymnasium, so kids can explore, play, and try different sports at their own pace.

How long will it take to visit all the stations?
We estimate about 30–45 minutes to visit all the stations. Feel free to arrive anytime between 1–4 PM that works best for your schedule. Kids can visit stations in any order, and it’s completely okay if they don’t make it to all of them.

What do we do when we’re finished playing?
Stop by the check in table outside door 10 to grab a goody bag (we have one for everyone!) and if you completed all the stations, claim your prize. Have questions or ready to sign up for a sport your child loved? We’ll also have information on how to keep playing, plus a discount toward fall sport registration opening May 1.

What should my child wear?
Comfortable athletic clothes and gym shoes are perfect. No special equipment is needed.

Will water be available?
Yes! Water coolers will be available onsite, but we always encourage kids to bring their own water bottle to stay extra hydrated while they’re playing.

Are there food options onsite?
Yes! Our Youth Action Board invited a couple of local favorites to join the fun. Ohana Donuts and Kona Ice will be available, along with the varsity football field concessions stand.

Do I have to stay with my child?
Yes. We ask that a parent or guardian remain nearby to supervise their child during the event. Parents don’t need to participate at the stations, though, the high schoolers will be leading the activities and running the show.

Mental Health Zone

Stop by our Mental Health Zone, located on the track, to learn about the pressures that often push kids away from sports. Our experts will provide resources that focus on confidence, emotional regulation and healthy relationships with sport!
